A critical piece of managing your feed in Marpipe is controlling which fields get sent to the ad network and what those fields are called.
Whenever you create an output feed, the same internal fields will be consistent across with what you have set in the main manage fields page β but you are able to make adjustments that only apply to that output feed from it's unique manage fields page.
Removing a field from an Output Feed
First go to the output feed page and click "Manage Fields" in the upper right. From this page you can make adjustments that will only apply to this feed.
You will see that every field which has it's output feed toggled active in the main manage fields page has is present in this page.
You can override the default behavior and choose to exclude them from this output feed by switching them off from this page.
Once you make changes, you will need to click the update button to commit them to the feed.
Renaming a field
From the Output Feed's manage field page you can also alter the name of a field. The changes will only apply to this feed.
The field names in the left hand column represent the "Internal Field" names while the column on the right represents what these will be exported as.
Simply click in any text input in the right column to adjust what the column will be titled in this feed.
Two fields may not have the same name in a given output feed.
Replacing a field
You may find yourself in a situation where you want to use an entirely different version of a field for one one output feed vs another.
The best way to handle this, is to first create a new custom field for the alternate version of your feed from the main manage fields page.
When setting up this new field, toggle on "Included in output feed" so that it will show up in the output feed later.
Next navigate to the output feed and click manage fields. You will first need to turn off and blank out the default field. For example if you want to replace title then change it's export name and toggle it off.
Once you've done this then you can change the export name of the custom field to the proper name. ("title" in the case of this example)
