There's a few points of connection to have your Marpipe treatment appear on your ad in Meta. Below are the steps to check your full connection.
In Marpipe
Step 1: Make sure the designs you want to use are published to your feed
First step is to make sure the treatment slot has been published to your feed.
If you see the badge Not Published next to your designs within the treatment slot, it means that it is not currently being delivered to Meta for use in your ads. Once you click Publish Updates, Marpipe will begin updating the feed to include your new treatment.
If you have Update catalogs on publish turned on, Marpipe will attempt to push the updated feed to Meta. Publishing updates can take up to an hour to finish, then send to Meta.
Step 2: Make sure the products you see in your ads are also the products you have your designs applied to
If the products you're seeing in your ads are not filtered into any of the designs, then there's nothing for Marpipe to apply to those products.
Example 1: If you only have your creative only applying items containing a sale price, and your ad is set to show full price items only, you won't see your design on anything not on sale.
Example 2: If your design is built to pull in the 4th image of your products, and you have products that only have up to 3 images, those products will be excluded from your design because there's no 4th image to pull in.
Step 3: Check that the ad is assigned your selected treatment
Confirm that you've walked through the Assign Ads process in Marpipe. When you search for your ad through Assign Ads in Marpipe, you should see it look similar to below:
If you see under Creative Source the following message, the ad is not connected to the same catalog you have have your selected Output Feed in:
In Meta Commerce Manager (your catalog)
Step 1: Find a product to reference
Take one of the products you're seeing on your ad without the creative applied to it. Search for this product in your Meta catalog
Step 2: Check that the Marpipe images are visible for that product
If you open up the details on that product, there are two places to confirm that your Marpipe creative treatments are applied to it:
First, go to Detail > Images
Then, go to Detail > Show more attributes > Images
The first step ensures that Meta is prioritizing your Marpipe feed for the additional images, the second step ensures that the image links and tags are being applied to the product.
If you do not see your Marpipe images and image tags appear, make sure that Marpipe is set as the priority for Additional images under Configure Sources
In Meta Ads Manager (your ad)
Check your ad settings in Meta
There are a few ad settings that, when enabled on your ad, can prevent the treatment from appearing/delivering to your audiences. We recommend to keep the following settings turned off for your ad:
Dynamic Media
Show as collection
All image affecting Advantage+ Creative Enhancements:
Generate Backgrounds
Expand Image
Advantage+ creative for catalog
Adapt to Placement/Image Touch-ups (unless running multi aspect ratio treatments)
