The following article discusses the steps to getting a Marpipe feed containing creative treatments to Meta. This is different from just connecting a standard feed. To just connect a standard feed, click here
Step 1. Create an output feed
From the Output Feeds section, click New Output Feed
Set the channel to Meta
Set the mode to Multi Treatment Mode
You only need to create one output feed for your catalog. You can update and edit which creatives you want to push to Meta through this feed
Step 2. Setup Treatments
In the new output feed you will need to create a treatment for each design or group of designs that you intend to use in ads.
Click New Treatment
Select a design (or multiple if they are intended to go together for multiple product sets)
Repeat steps until all treatments are setup
Click Publish on the right-hand side once all treatments are set up
Step 3. Connect to Meta Catalog
Copy paste the output feed URL into your Meta Catalog OR use the "Connected Catalog" feature in Marpipe to connect directly.
Click Connected Catalogs in your output feed
Click "Upload to a Catalog"
Select your business account
Select a the catalog to upload your feed to
Confirm your catalog upload
You can then go to your catalog to confirm the feed is uploading
Once your feed is connected to your catalog, you do not need to reconnect it unless it is actively removed.
Step 4. Create your ads
While your feed is uploading to the Meta catalog, go into Ads Manager to create your ads. Marpipe ads can be run on any campaign in your ad account, as long as it's set up to be a catalog ad. Some settings to look out for in your ad below:
Under Ad Setup, make sure your format is set to either Single Image or Video or Carousel (preferred)
Under Ad Creative, turn off Dynamic Media
Make sure your creative options are set to Single Image, not Slideshow
Under Format Display Options, turn off Show as collection (optional but recommended)
Turn off all Advantage+ Creative Enhancements
Make sure you select a Product Set of just the items you want to run on your ad
The rest of your ad and campaign can be filled out how you prefer to run it. Publish your ad before returning to Marpipe.
Step 5. Assign Ads
In your output feed page in Marpipe, Click Assign Ads on the right side
Select your ad account
Select a campaign with ads that you want to run enriched treatments in
Select your catalog ad
Click add treatment
Select the treatment you want to run on that particular ad
Repeat steps for all intended ads
Click Save Changes
Your ad should now preview and deliver your treatments!
*Note: The process of assigning a treatment to your ad via Marpipe (Step 5) counts as a creative edit to your ad, which will update it to the Learning phase.
If you wish to edit your treatment, you do not need to reassign the treatment. Just make and publish your edits and your ad will pick them up on the next catalog sync.
